Forum Party
Last night a bunch of member from the VIOL Forum (www.virgin-islands-on-line.com), which is a group of internet freeks (me included) that all have a passion for STJ, met at Bahama Breeze in King of Prussia.
It was so great to put some faces with the names of people you "talk" with regularly. We had some food, some cocktails and great company.

Meet Kaziah
This is Celestial Kaziah of the Ark. Kaziah for short. Katie to her Grandma (her breeder Eileen). She is a Brindle English Mastiff.
When I first became single again and was looking for a dog, I was looking at the Mastiff breed. I searched around and found a breeder that I called. We spoke for a long time and she gave me the low-down on the breed. Later, I visited her home (also her kennel) and got so see the Mastiff's first hand. I fell in love!! But, I was living in an apartment and they had a weight limit on the dogs you could have there. Thus, I got my Puggy.
After Ed and I got married, we decided to add a Mastiff to our already crazy house. I put my name on Eileen's puppy list. Kaziah was born October 18, 2003. The day she was born Eileen sent me pictures of the litter and I couldn't wait to see them in person. Two days later I was at her house holding 7 of the sweetest puppies.
I had to pick one, which should have been a chore but it wasn't. I picked up one of the babies and Eileen pointed out her butterfly. Seemed this little girl had a butterfly shaped mark on her neck. I immediately turned my back to Eileen and lifted my hair (for those who don't know, I have a butterfly tattooed on my neck). We laughed and decided that she was meant to be mine.
I spend almost every weekend at Eileen's until I was finally able to bring the little on home. It was great. We had Molly, Lillie (who was just turning one), Osjo the Dal, Zoey the Pug, and now this little bundle of energy. Did I say little? She was the size of the Pug at 12 weeks and the size of the Dal by 8 months!
She now weighs in at about 180 lbs. and is literally the biggest laziest lover you ever want to meet. I can never understand when people are afraid of her. She's not big?

Lillie and Elf Ashley
This weekend RMC (Reading Motorcycle Club) had its annual Childrens Christmas Party. Santa, Mrs. Clause, and even Elf Ashley came to visit and give some early presents.
The place was packed to the brim and everyone had a great time. Here's a favorite pic from the party. Lillie really enjoyed meeting Elf Ashley:)

I'm going to be a Millersville Mom!
Molly has been accepted to Millersville University for a Bachlors of Science in Mathematics Education. Her first semester will begin August 31, 2009. Because of her academic performace in High School, she was also invited to apply for a Merit Scholarship. That would be VERY nice!!
She is thrilled and I am so damn proud of her.
I spent the last 18 years with this girl. What the heck am I going to do without her?

The BIG 18!!!!
At 7:58 tonight my first born child turned 18 years old. I'm so happy for her. I'm so sad for me. She's an adult. She's going to leave me. Why is it that when you finally start to like your kids, they leave you?
From left to right...Devo (Macy's man), Molly, Macy Chica, Mike (Molly's Stud), and Joshua Rabik.
We're going midnight bowling. In the dark. The pins and ball glow. I can't wait:O
UPDATE: Bowling last night was actually a lot of fun. Besides the goofs above, Molly's big sister Desi and her fiancee Ben came. I will admit to the world that Ed beat me at something. That's right ~ all 3 games. But after 3 Malibu and Coke's and 6 Purple Shooters, I didn't care:)

Zoey the Pug
Sorry for the delay in the posts but I've been a little busy lately. More on that later. I would like to get back to introducing my family to you.
Meet Zoey. She's my baby Pug. She's not really a baby anymore but she'll always be MY baby. She just turned 7 in September and I can remember the day I saw her for the first time like it was yesterday.
About 8 years ago I found myself newly divorced and on my own with Molly. For the past couple of years before that I had been asking my "X" for a dog but it wasn't even a consideration. Thus, my first rebellious activity as a new divorcee was to purchase the puppy of my dreams. I guess I thought that by doing something I wasn't allowed to do before, I was officially starting my "new" life.
I checked out some pet stores but just hadn't found the right dog.....until the day I walked into the mall and saw my Zoey. There she was, little as could be, just staring at me from a cage behind the glass. I knew we were meant for each other the moment I saw her. I had the store personnel get her for me and I stood in that store holding her for hours. I gave her lots of love that night and she gave me even more back. She was what I needed.
I called Ed and told him about her. He wasn't sure what to think but told me to do what I wanted. I left that night without her so that I could think it over and be sure. Less than 24 hours later, Zoey was on her first car ride home.
I was right, she was exactly what I needed. She has given me more smiles, more laughs, and in general has just made my life more complete. She's my snuggle bunny and my shadow. No matter how good of a life I give her (and she does have it pretty damn good), I will never be able to give her what she's given me.
My Pop says she's so damn ugly she's cute. How mean is that?????

Ugggg...It's almost December
It's going to be December and I'm getting my annual pre-December jitters. I always have so much to do and no time to do it all. Not only must I prepare for Christmas (shop, decorate, plan Christmas Eve for the family) but it's also practically every one's birthday (Molly, Nana, Pop, Goobie, and Lillie). That means birthday parties and presents for the kids on top of everything else. I love Christmas but can't wait for December to be over!! Uuuugggg.

Thanks....giving
I've been up since 7am (with a slight hangover I might add) pulling stuff out of a Turkey's ass, making green bean casserole, getting the potato filling and bread filling out of the fridge, cleaning up, and getting ready for my some of my family to arrive. These are my favorite days. When the work is done and I am sitting around the dinner table with the people I love most in the world, it's heaven. I am so thankful for all of my family and friends. You make my life worth living. So, if your reading this.......I love you!

The Little One
My dear Lillie. Daddy's girl. What should I say other than she's just a chip off the ole block. She's got Daddy's baby blues and my attitude. Ouch!
She started Kindergarten two months ago and we knew it was going to be tough. Not the academics but the rule following. She doesn't do well with rules. Wonder where she gets that?
The second full week of school we get a call from her teacher. Seems she (and I quote) "can't seem keep her mouth shut". NICE! The third full week of school, we get a call from her principal. The principal!?! Yes, the principal. Seems Miss Lil almost got herself kicked off the bus. Why? Because she's refusing to sit in her seat. She wants to talk to everyone. Apparently, she can't talk from her seat. She managed to get herself written up twice in one day. Two write-ups mean your off the bus for 1 day but because they were both in the same day, he took pity and counted them as 1. But, 1 more ~ and she's off. I asked her if she was scared to go to the Principal's office. She said "no, he's got a really big office and he's really nice". Great, she's going to try to visit him weekly now!
So, hubby and I got it together and did what any self-respecting parent would do. We put her in jail. In her room, of course. After 3 days in her room and blankie hanging on the ceiling, she finally realized she needed a change. We've been pretty good ever since.
She's a bright child. She's beautiful inside and out. If she doesn't kill us, we might get to see her grow up and become the shining star I know she will be.
More soon come......XOXO

The Eldest Child
Miss Molly is exactly 12 days away from legally becoming an adult. I can't believe that "they" really believe that she is old enough and/or mature enough to live life on her own. Whoever "they" are obviously doesn't have kids!
Molly was, how should I say, a MAJOR PAIN IN THE ASS child. I though for sure that I would go to my grave early over her. By the age of 5, her daycare was ready to throw her out and suggested that I have her tested for ADHD. I agreed.
As time went on, Molly changed as all kids do. Thank the good Lord she changed for the better (I would have been forced to kill her and eat her if not). As a pre-teen, she started to make some choices on her own and decided who she wanted to be. She made good choices.
Today, Molly is a 4.0 senior. She has selected her college (Millersville) and will be attending in the fall of 2009 as a Math major. She wants to be a High School Math Teacher. Proud? HELL YESSSSSS!!!
I guess what I'm most proud of is the fact that she is a genuinely good person. I like her. Not just as my daughter, but as a person. She is caring, respectful, and funny. She's smart too! Did I mention how proud of her I am??
Until tomorrow.......XOXO

Hubby
Ok, so here's the story of hubby and I......I first met Ed when I was 15 years old. We went to different schools but knew a lot of the same peeps. He was CUTE as hell and had a really hot car (a red '73 Camaro with "Running Wild" across the tail fin). I was in teeny-bopper looovvveee.
We dated a couple times and he asked me to his junior prom. I went out and bought my first prom dress. It was pink satin and lace, tee-length, with a lace V between the boobies so he could see some cleavage. I even started wearing my contacts (which I hated) so that I didn't have 4 eyes for the prom.
The week of the prom came and out of the blue, the love of my life dumped me. I still think to this day that he is the only boy that ever broke up with me. Anyway, he wouldn't tell me why and it was just over. I cried. A lot.
This is where the story gets a little complicated. He has his side and I have mine. The following are the stories. You can decide who you believe:
His: He says that he broke it off because he "heard" that I was cheating on him. Several days later, he was at the mall and some big freak walked up to his car and punched him right in the face and said it was from me. He swears to this day that I sent a hit man out for him. Who me???
Mine: He never did tell me why he broke up with me so I was clueless and crying. I was NOT cheating on him (not that I remember anyway) and didn't deserve this. I had friends who loved me. They took matters into their own hands. I had nothing to do with the hit. Beside, my best friend ended up wearing MY dress to the prom. Jack-Ass!!
Fast forward 16 years. I was married and had Molly. My neighbor comes over one day and tells me that I need to meet the guy who just moved in behind us. She tells me that she knows his family and that he is a really nice guy. She also gives me the scoop that he spent the last 8 years in the Army, was married but now divorced, and so on. You know how nosey neighbors gossip. So, we walk over to the fence and she starts to introduce us but I immediately know exactly who he is. He knew me too (I think?).
Long story short...I ended up divorced and married to the man that almost got away. My love, my best friend, my baby.
That's it for today. More soon come....XOXO

Welcome!
Hello and welcome to my blog. I guess I'm starting this dumb thing for the same reason other bloggers do....so I don't have to send 20 e-mails a day telling people what's going on in my life. I'm going to put it all out here and you can read it if you want. You'll have to forgive my spelling and grammar....I'm not exactly know to be the best at it.
I guess I should tell you all a little about myself....My name is Michele and I snagged the best man in the world! Really, I did! His name is Ed (Slick to his buddy's) and he is my best friend. I have two girls, Molly who is 17 and Lillie who is 5. I will tell you more about my family in the days to come. I have a job that I like. I also have some of the best friends a girl could ask for. I spend my free time riding my motorcycle ('08 Night Rod Special) or vacationing in St. John USVI. I'm a lucky girl:)
