Last night a bunch of member from the VIOL Forum (www.virgin-islands-on-line.com), which is a group of internet freeks (me included) that all have a passion for STJ, met at Bahama Breeze in King of Prussia.

It was so great to put some faces with the names of people you "talk" with regularly. We had some food, some cocktails and great company.

Meet Kaziah

This is Celestial Kaziah of the Ark. Kaziah for short. Katie to her Grandma (her breeder Eileen). She is a Brindle English Mastiff.

When I first became single again and was looking for a dog, I was looking at the Mastiff breed. I searched around and found a breeder that I called. We spoke for a long time and she gave me the low-down on the breed. Later, I visited her home (also her kennel) and got so see the Mastiff's first hand. I fell in love!! But, I was living in an apartment and they had a weight limit on the dogs you could have there. Thus, I got my Puggy.

After Ed and I got married, we decided to add a Mastiff to our already crazy house. I put my name on Eileen's puppy list. Kaziah was born October 18, 2003. The day she was born Eileen sent me pictures of the litter and I couldn't wait to see them in person. Two days later I was at her house holding 7 of the sweetest puppies.
I had to pick one, which should have been a chore but it wasn't. I picked up one of the babies and Eileen pointed out her butterfly. Seemed this little girl had a butterfly shaped mark on her neck. I immediately turned my back to Eileen and lifted my hair (for those who don't know, I have a butterfly tattooed on my neck). We laughed and decided that she was meant to be mine.

I spend almost every weekend at Eileen's until I was finally able to bring the little on home. It was great. We had Molly, Lillie (who was just turning one), Osjo the Dal, Zoey the Pug, and now this little bundle of energy. Did I say little? She was the size of the Pug at 12 weeks and the size of the Dal by 8 months!

She now weighs in at about 180 lbs. and is literally the biggest laziest lover you ever want to meet. I can never understand when people are afraid of her. She's not big?

Lillie and Elf Ashley

This weekend RMC (Reading Motorcycle Club) had its annual Childrens Christmas Party. Santa, Mrs. Clause, and even Elf Ashley came to visit and give some early presents.

The place was packed to the brim and everyone had a great time. Here's a favorite pic from the party. Lillie really enjoyed meeting Elf Ashley:)

I'm going to be a Millersville Mom!

Molly has been accepted to Millersville University for a Bachlors of Science in Mathematics Education. Her first semester will begin August 31, 2009. Because of her academic performace in High School, she was also invited to apply for a Merit Scholarship. That would be VERY nice!!

She is thrilled and I am so damn proud of her.

I spent the last 18 years with this girl. What the heck am I going to do without her?

The BIG 18!!!!

At 7:58 tonight my first born child turned 18 years old. I'm so happy for her. I'm so sad for me. She's an adult. She's going to leave me. Why is it that when you finally start to like your kids, they leave you?

From left to right...Devo (Macy's man), Molly, Macy Chica, Mike (Molly's Stud), and Joshua Rabik.

We're going midnight bowling. In the dark. The pins and ball glow. I can't wait:O

UPDATE: Bowling last night was actually a lot of fun. Besides the goofs above, Molly's big sister Desi and her fiancee Ben came. I will admit to the world that Ed beat me at something. That's right ~ all 3 games. But after 3 Malibu and Coke's and 6 Purple Shooters, I didn't care:)

Zoey the Pug

Sorry for the delay in the posts but I've been a little busy lately. More on that later. I would like to get back to introducing my family to you.

Meet Zoey. She's my baby Pug. She's not really a baby anymore but she'll always be MY baby. She just turned 7 in September and I can remember the day I saw her for the first time like it was yesterday.

About 8 years ago I found myself newly divorced and on my own with Molly. For the past couple of years before that I had been asking my "X" for a dog but it wasn't even a consideration. Thus, my first rebellious activity as a new divorcee was to purchase the puppy of my dreams. I guess I thought that by doing something I wasn't allowed to do before, I was officially starting my "new" life.

I checked out some pet stores but just hadn't found the right dog.....until the day I walked into the mall and saw my Zoey. There she was, little as could be, just staring at me from a cage behind the glass. I knew we were meant for each other the moment I saw her. I had the store personnel get her for me and I stood in that store holding her for hours. I gave her lots of love that night and she gave me even more back. She was what I needed.

I called Ed and told him about her. He wasn't sure what to think but told me to do what I wanted. I left that night without her so that I could think it over and be sure. Less than 24 hours later, Zoey was on her first car ride home.

I was right, she was exactly what I needed. She has given me more smiles, more laughs, and in general has just made my life more complete. She's my snuggle bunny and my shadow. No matter how good of a life I give her (and she does have it pretty damn good), I will never be able to give her what she's given me.

My Pop says she's so damn ugly she's cute. How mean is that?????
